A Chef's Dinner Chef Dan Scratches an itch

When you're a chef, every once in a while, you have to express yourself. You watch Top Chef, you visit another restaurant, you talk with your foodie buddies, and you just have to do some things that don't fit the charter of your own restaurant. You need to know you can still spread your wings and fly to new heights with your craft. This is just that sort of scratching, and YOU have an opportunity to benefit from that itch.

First Course - Caviar - Key Lime, Gin, Robuchon Potato

Monday, June 5th, Chef Dan Grilz and his crew will be preparing a special meal for 40 people. Assisting in the kitchen will be Sous Chefs Kandi Renelt, and Brandon Songetay.

Second Course - Sunchoke - Jose Andres Egg, Grana Podano, Popcorn, Chive

The front of the house will be manned by the "Best Bartender in Forest Lake", Slater Baxter, and some of Stella's best servers including Daisy Vokaty, Andrea Dolan, Lori Lavin, and Paige Thielbar.

Third Course - Sweetbreads - Sarrano, Whole Grain Mustard, Parsnip

The cost for the seven course meal is $79 plus taxes and gratuity. Beverages are extra. For $20 you can get a beverage paired for each course. You can reserve your seat by calling or stopping at Stella's and purchasing a $79 ticket for the event...or you canĀ use PayPal here.

Fourth Course - Fois Gras - Morels, Shallot, Sherry, Toast

Guests should arrive for seating at 6:30. The first course will be presented at 6:45. Plan to be at Stella's until about 8:30 or 9:00. Good food takes time.

Fifth Course - Salad - Marcona Almond, Tallegio, Honey, Truffle

Remember the number of seats are limited for 40. We also have a limited number of larger tables available (4 tables that hold six each). Tickets are available on a first come, first served, basis.

Sixth Course Lamb - Ramps, Fava Bean, Lentils

There really is no dress code, but business casual is suggested. Cell phones are encouraged for pictures of the food and fun. Please keep the ring tones down and take phone calls out of the room, for the comfort of the other guests.

Seventh Course - Strawberry - White Chocolate, Rubarb, Basil Financier
