Head coach Keith Dambrot officially welcomed the tallest recruiting class in school history to campus over the weekend.
The seven-man class includes four players 6-9 or taller. Dambrot and his staff put the group through workouts for the first time on Monday morning.
Lamar Norman Jr., Dylan Swingle, Amari Kelly and Sincere Carry were among those who donned the Red & Blue for the first time.
Said Dambrot: "We’d like to get a good framework defensively and then get an understanding of what we’re trying to accomplish offensively. We’ll spend a lot of time on our defensive fundamentals and our conditioning."
"We are going to have much more competition for playing time than we did last year"
"It’s funny, because when the players are away you kind of take a deep breath because you get a little bit of time, but when they’re here you’re glad they’re here because you’re making progress to what you are trying to accomplish."
