Ms. Kramer Family and consumer sciences

This is Ms. Kramer's second year teaching Family and Consumer Sciences. She recently graduated from Bridgewater College and is ecstatic to have the opportunity to teach here in the Shenandoah Valley. Family and Consumer Sciences is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Students will learn about interior design, consumer basics, early childhood development, workplace readiness, communication skills, careers and professionalism, culinary arts, clothing and textiles and much more.

During this year's FCCLA SLRC (State Leadership and Recognition Conference), 6 WSPMS Students competed in STAR EVENTS all placing top three. Congratulations to these outstanding competitors.

A typical day in FCS class....

Students enjoy food labs which cover a range of skills in the kitchen from homemade pasta, pretzels and smoothie breakfast bowls to healthy granola bars. Students work hands-on to complete projects, some of which are then presented to classmates.
