2018 Homecoming 2 days | 5 speakers | 375+ alumni

Over 375 Notre Dame Law School alumni and guests gathered from around the country for the second annual Law Homecoming Weekend as they watched the Fighting Irish beat Vanderbilt on a perfect fall day on campus!

The weekend began on Friday evening in the Patrick F. McCartan Courtroom with a great crowd of alumni and students who came to hear a presentation by three recently appointed US Attorneys: Mark Klaassen, ’98 JD, Peter Deegan, ’92 and Jay Town, ’95. The panel discussion was followed by a cocktail reception for our NDLA board members, Order of St. Thomas More members and students under a tent on the quad.

On Saturday morning, 50 of our alumni enjoyed an academic opportunity to gain a one-hour ethics credit by attending the CLE: Becoming a Different Kind of Lawyer: Our Broken Compass and the Aspirational Lawyer presented by John Moore, ’82.

Following the CLE, Fr. David Link, ’58, ’61 JD (former Dean Link) celebrated Mass where alumni crowded into the St. Thomas More chapel with standing room only. Bill and Erica Anaya, both graduates of the class of 1997 renewed their wedding vows that morning in the chapel!

The highlight of the Homecoming weekend was the tented tailgate on the DeBartolo Quad where alumni gathered to reminisce and reconnect, meet students, and enjoy a buffet and drinks prior to the football game!

Reunion classes from 1978, 1988, 1993 and 2013 used this opportunity to reunite classmates from around the country!

Save the Date for September 28, 2019 for next year’s Law Homecoming where the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on the Virginia Cavaliers!
