#thankfulThursday
The office staff would like your help in recognizing our staff. Please take a few moments and use the link below to provide some encouragement to those folks that are making a major difference in your child's future. These comments can be anonymous, or you can provide your name. The office staff will use the provided comments every Thursday for our #thankfulThursday movement. The attached form can be completed, as little or often as you like, throughout the entire school year. We appreciate your support in growing the culture of gratitude that already exists at MIS!!
A couple of comments shared this week:
"Thank you, Mrs. Fletcher for sending us short videos to help teachers with tips for using technology!"
"I am thankful for everything Mrs. Jones does for our students. Her schedule is crazy this year with onsite and virtual students and working around cohorts, but that has not stopped her from giving our students great learning opportunities! Thank you for everything you do, Mrs. Jones!"
current 5th grade students & vaccines Needed for 6th graders
Why is this so important this year?
The Hancock County Health Department has reduced routine vaccination clinic times to two hours per week, and most local pharmacies are no longer offering routine vaccinations while they are beginning to plan for covid vaccinations. Parents of fifth grade students may have a difficult time finding locations to receive vaccines. THERE IS NOT a vaccine shortage, but administration sites are not as available as they have been in the past.
National School Social Worker WEek
Maxwell Intermediate School has an outstanding social worker who works hard every day to assist students, parents, and staff. His talents are known throughout the corporation, the community, and the state. His impact is felt every day in helping students achieve school success.
Please join us in recognizing Mr. Stroud as we celebrate National School Social Worker Week next week.
ilearn information
The ILEARN window will open on April 19th. All testing will occur first thing in the morning on the dates listed below. Testing will begin by 8:10 and will end each day around 9:30.
Students will need headphones to take the test this year. The brand doesn't matter; however, it must be a straight headphone plug as pictured below and not a 90 degree angle as it won't fit into the iPads.
