SOUTHWESTERN vs. PACIFIC March 30, 2017

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern women’s lacrosse made the final home game for their first ever senior class a memorable with a come from behind victory, tying the game with :51 seconds remaining before senior Kaitlyn Campbell, assisted by Emma Albin, scored the game winner with four seconds remaining.

Pacific controlled the first half and led 6-3 at the break and led 9-5 with just over 24 minutes remaining.

Southwestern refused to give in and continued to press on and got back-to-back goals from Kate Davis to cut the lead to two.

With 9:10 remaining the Boxers took the lead and seemed to have the game in hand once again. Kate Davis had other plans and she netted Ronni Winter’s pass with 51 seconds remaining.

Pacific netted a free position shot before SU rattled off three more goals, tying the game for the first time since 26:45 in the first half.

A costly Pacific turnover gave Southwestern possession deep in their territory with just under 30 seconds to play.

SU successfully cleared and Emma Albin brought the ball down the right side. Albin found Campbell curling from the behind the cage and Campbell buried the ball in the back of the net for the game winner.

#4 JORDAN LITTLE

Little started her career as an attacker before embracing a new role as goalkeeper. Little has been an anchor for SU and has started 55 of 59 games in her career.

#8 COURTNEY RAGLAND

Ragland suffered a season ending injury this year but left a mark nontheless, leading the Pirates in scoring in her two seasons. She holds the single-game record for goals and single season record for points.

#13 ANNE BROWN

Brown has been a fixture for the Pirates on defense after switching from attacker midway through her first season.

#15 EMMA ALBIN

Albin is the iron-woman for SU, started every game throughout her career and is the only player to play in every game in the history of the program.

#19 CHRISTINA ROSENDAHL

Rosendahl can play on both ends of the field and holds the single-season record for draw controls and career marks for ground balls, draw controls and caused turnovers.

#23 KAITLYN CAMPBELL

Campbell has been a go-to scorer and holds the season goals record with 51 in her first season.

#25 KATE DAVIS

Davis transferred in from Hendrix and made an immediate impact as one of the leading scorers for the Pirates.

#26 MAKAELA STARKS

Starks is one of SU's most dynamic defenders and her intensity and work ethic are always on display.
