WeatherTech Sports Car Series

The WeatherTech Sports Car Series will be televised in North America on the all-new Fox Sports networks reaching 90 million homes.

  • Leveraging NASCAR’s participation, the WeatherTech Sports Car Series and FOX Sports have a five-year, multi-media rights deal running through to the 2018 season.
  • The fan favorite SPEED TV is now known as Fox Sports 1 while a new Fox Sports 2 has emerged from the channel previously known as FUEL. The new combined entity will reach over 90 million homes.
  • Fans can expect to see a mix of races available on both FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2.
  • Under the new arrangement, FOX Sports will also stream all IMSA races as part of its FOX Sports GO product.

Brian Alder - Founder and Team Owner

Brian Alder

Brian Alder brings over a decade of winning motorsports experience to BAR1 Motorsports. From Toyota Atlantic to Indy Car to the Tudor United SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Brian has won.

With 24 wins and multiple driver championships, all while maintaining a top 3 standings in team/driver championship for 11 out of 13 years, Brian’s record as a crew chief and team manager in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship can only be described one way. Winner!

In 2004 Alder headed up the winning LMP2 team at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2005 he was selected as the American Le Mans Crew Chief of the Year. That honor was bestowed upon him again in 2006... making Brian the only recipient ever to receive the award two years in a row.

Brian has competed and won against some of the largest factory teams in the world including, Audi, Porsche, Peugeot and Penske… adding three more podiums in 2015 and running in second at checkers for the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Alder is a David among Goliaths.
