THE AMERICAN FLAG BY DYLAN JUNG

The American flag is the national flag of our country. Armies and presidents have waved this flag.

It was chosen on June 14 ,1777. There has been 27 different changes in the flag.

The flag has 13 stripes, 7 red and 6 white. In the left hand corner there are 50 stars that represent the 50 states the 13 stripes represent the 13 original colonies.

The national anthem is called the Star Spangled Banner and it is about the flag. Other names for the American flag are Old glory, Star Spangled Banner , and Stars and Stripes.

The flag is red, white, and blue. Another thing is that US presidents and armies have waved this flag. Red stands for hardiness and valour .Blue stand for the Chief, and white stands for purity and innocence. America is brave and tough.
