There are three concurrent events happening in the city right now.
confiscate - take or seize someone's property with or without his/her permission.
Ally got in trouble so her mom confiscated her gadgets.
constitute - be a part of a whole
single parents constitute a great proportion of the poor.
decipher - convert a text written in code, or a coded signal into normal language
learning how to decipher a code is a must for spies.
Default- A failure to fulfill an obligation, especially to repay a loan or appear in a court of law
the incidence of defaults on loans
hypothetical- of, based on, or serving as a hypothesis but it has not been verified yet as true.
My science teacher wanted us to write a draft hypothetical theory about cells.
nominal- a role or status existing in name only or something small that is been given to someone.
Rich people only give nominal amount to their so-called charity.
predominant- present as the strongest or main element.
The United States' predominant religion is Christianity.
prerequisite- a thing that is required as a prior condition for something else to happen or exist.
scholarships are not prerequisite unless it's needed.
recession- a period of temporary economic decline during which trade and industrial activity are reduced, generally identified by a fall in GDP in two successive quarters.
the local government are planning for the current recession that has been happening in their city.
