concurrent - existing, happening, or done at the same time

There are three concurrent events happening in the city right now.

My science teacher wanted us to write a draft hypothetical theory about cells.

nominal- a role or status existing in name only or something small that is been given to someone.

Rich people only give nominal amount to their so-called charity.

predominant- present as the strongest or main element.

The United States' predominant religion is Christianity.

prerequisite- a thing that is required as a prior condition for something else to happen or exist.

scholarships are not prerequisite unless it's needed.

recession- a period of temporary economic decline during which trade and industrial activity are reduced, generally identified by a fall in GDP in two successive quarters.

the local government are planning for the current recession that has been happening in their city.
