Disney Disney was founded by Walter Elias Disney. Walt originally named mickey mouse "Mortimer Mouse" until his wife convinced him to change it. during wwi, walt wanted to fight in the war, but he was rejected due to being too young. So instead, he drew patriotic cartoons for his school. later, he joined the red cross and drove an ambulance through france, even though it was after the war. walt disney is also the founder of disney world. disney world was a product of boredom. before mickey mouse, there was oswald the lucky rabbit. walt's last written words were believed to be "kurt russel", but we will never know for sure.
