Early Life

Bill Nye was born on November 27 , 1955 in Washington D.C. He was raised by Edwin Nye and Jacqueline Jenkins. His father (Edwin Nye) was a World War II veteran and was captured by the Japanese and became a prisoner of war.

Education

Bill went to Sidewall Friends School (top) , and Cornell University (Bottom) there he studied science and entered comedy contests. In his earlier years Bill Nye won the Steve Martin look alike contest. To be serious he looks nothing like Steve Martin.

Adult Life

Bill Nye is now a Science tv host and has a wife and daughter. He has his dream job and teaches Children about the thing that he loves the most. he has won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding performer in children’s Programing (1998), the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Children’s Series (2000,1998,1997…), the Shorty Award for best in science (2015),the Washington Award (2014) and the daytime Emmy award for outstanding Children’s series.

Legacy

Bill nye is still raising awareness to climate change and stars in his kids tv show ''Bill Nye the Science Guy''. People all around the world know his name and love him for what he does. He has heavily impacted the generation of children by teaching them things about science and how things work. He has taken political stances and has a giant influence around the world.
