Why did you choose Hamilton?

Hamilton is home. I love the people and the community here. Everyone is so caring and kind which made settling into a new environment extremely easy.

How is being a student-athlete helpful in life?

Being a student athlete has taught me how to balance my time by trying to make every single moment count whether it is in the classroom or during practice.

How is Hamilton preparing you for the future?

Hamilton is teaching me how to work hard and play hard. Hamilton has given me the privilege of building incredible connections and relationships which I know will last forever.

What other activities are you involved in?

I am involved in the International Cultural Association and Hamilton Christian Fellowship.

What has been the best part of your Hamilton experience?

The best part of my Hamilton experience has been meeting all the incredible people here and building friendships.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT AT HAMILTON SO FAR?

My favorite moment at Hamilton, so far, was my first day of classes. It was so much fun meeting everyone and starting my Hamilton journey.

What is your most memorable sports moment at Hamilton?

My most memorable moment was my opening tee shot playing in the NESCAC qualifier tournament. I remember feeling really nervous and saying to myself that everything is in my hands, time to step up and execute. Thankfully I hit a reasonable shot!

What is your pre-game ritual?

I actually do not have a pre-round ritual. If anything, I really like talking to people. I will talk about anything to take my mind off the round. I try to have my mind clear every time I step up onto the first tee.

How is adjusting to the “new normal” during workouts, practice, classes, and bEing on campus in general?

Adjusting to the “new normal” has been slightly challenging. Wearing masks during workouts has not been the most pleasant experience, and it is always difficult to stay six foot from everyone. However, Hamilton has been brilliant in maintaining our community feeling.

DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING NEW ABOUT YOURSELF DURING QUARANTINE?

I wanted to try and learn how to do a handstand and hand spring. After about ten minutes of practice and a sore head I decided to put aside this endeavor and learn something more practical- how to balance staples.

WHAT DID YOU MISS THE MOST DURING QUARANTINE?

I really missed seeing my teammates and everything that goes with our golf season: practice with the team, the late-night Commons, and the tournaments.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS/ WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE PROFESSOR?

So far, my favorite class has been “Spies, Subversion, and Countersubversion in American History” taught by Professor McDonnell. This class was fascinating (the title speaks for itself) and Professor McDonnell is incredible.

DO YOU HAVE A UNIQUE SKILL, HOBBY, OR ACCOMPLISHMET?

I like to (attempt to) throw the javelin.

If you could play any other sport what would it be?

I cannot skate to save my life, but I really want to try and play hockey. one day!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM AND ATHLETE?

My favorite sports team is actually a cricket team- the Royal Challengers of Bangalore! I have also been indoctrinated to support the Patriots. My favorite athlete is Rory McIlroy.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OTHER STUDENT-ATHLETES OR INCOMING FIRST YEARS?

Be yourself! Do not change who you are. You were accepted into Hamilton because you are special and can make a difference in your own way.
