The climate in Algeria is usually hot and cold, temperatures in the desert regions can hit 50 degrees, but the nights are often cold.

The countries that border Algeria is Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Libya, Tunisia, and Western Sahara.

The bodies of water surrounding Algeria is the Alboran Sea.

Some natural resources in Algeria is petroleum, natural gas, iron ore, uranium, and zinc.

There are 99% of Sunni- Muslim and there is a tiny Jewish community.

Islam is mostly practiced in Algeria.

One holiday that they celebrate is called Eid-Ul-Fitr.

. The history behind Algerias flag is that the center of the flag has a red star and a crescent. The colors of the flag have a symbolic meaning, the white represents peace and honesty, the green stands for the beauty of nature, hope, and joy, the red stands for the blood of those killed fighting for independence in the Algerian War.

.When the violence escalated, 500,000 French troops were sent to crush the Muslim rebellion. After seven years, the Algerian war ended on March 18, 1962, when the French and the FLN signed a peace treaty. Algeria won its independence after 130 years of colonial French rule.

Since its independence, Algeria has made major technological advances, especially in the steel and petrochemical industries.

Algeria has a vast transportation system which include many transportation infrastructures.

A day in the life of a high school student

Normally a teenager in Algeria would go to school. Students are primarily taught in Arabic. Sometimes kids can be homeschooled too. If people have free time they would go hiking, mountain climbing, swimming, tennis, golf, horseback riding and riding on camels. People would tend to listen to folk music. They would wear a mix of traditional and European clothing. Traditionally the men will wear white woolen cloaks, called the gandoura, over a cotton shirt. Sometimes they also wear linen or wool burnous over the shoulders. Women are draped head to foot in the haik, worn over loose pants that gather at the ankle.

If you are trying to go on a trip then you should consider going to Algeria! There are so many things to do while you are visiting like going mountain climbing, going on a hike, horseback riding, and riding on a camel. The best time to visit Algeria is April through October because that's when the temperature is just right. Summer temperatures are high through out the country but at night the temperature can drop. You would probably need some required clothing like cotton and linen lightweights which are best for winter months. It is also required that you will need a mountain sleeping bag If you are going to camp.
