The problem in the construction career that I found needs to be improved was the hiring plans. The Reason for not having workers is because there is a shortage of qualified workers, 70% firms reported to have difficulties finding qualified workers as of 2016. The plan most firms have to recruit or retain current workers is to increase pay and benefits. 49% plan to increase base pay rate, 30% report to increase incentives and/or add bonuses, 23% report to increase contributions to employee benefits, 15% of firms report they are considering increasing pay and/or benefits in the near future to cope with worker shortages. The reason for all these changes is to increase more qualified workers to be recruited, with most firms coping with these changes the work force in construction will increase.
