MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Defenders had Cairn University right where they wanted them on Saturday as CSU held an eight point lead with three minutes left in the game. Things took an unfortunate turn as the Highlanders made a bold comeback to hand CSU the loss, 85-81.

Antwan Bradley had an outstanding all-around game against Cairn University. The point guard netted 18 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed six rebounds.

women's basketball

The Lady Defenders continue to improve, and Saturday's performance was further proof. CSU shot a season best, 55 percent, from behind the three point line, giving them one of their highest offensive outputs of the season. Torri Erdman continues to cause problems for opposing defenses, as she is averaging 18.3 points per game.

Mollie Comstock had an unbelievable game against Cairn University, recording a career high, 24 points. What was even more impressive was that she went 7-of-11 from three point range.

Despite the snow covering the soccer field, the athletics office has been hard at work, searching for the 2017 head women's soccer coach. After Thursday's interview, Director of Athletics, Michael McCarty, has announced that Coach Wayne Slusser will no longer be the "interim" head coach, but he is now officially the head coach of the women's soccer program.
