How has Illinois State University impacted you?

ISU has impacted me in ways I couldn't believe. I was given the opportunity to join many different RSOs and meet many great people. I learned how to reach out and interact with students I didn't know in the past.

The faculty and staff have always been able to help me with whatever questions I had in the past.

ISU has turned me into a well-rounded professional ready for the next steps in life.

Why are you happy to be a Redbird?

I'm happy to be a Redbird because there is so much pride here at ISU.

I see people with ISU gear all the time, making it feel like a stronger community.

When I used to play hockey at ISU, it was amazing being able to represent ISU every time we played.

How has ISU prepared you for your career after college?

ISU has prepared me very well for my career after college. Throughout my time at ISU, I've had 5 different internships all because ISU helped me get them.

I joined a business fraternity that gave me soft skills and many lessons about the business world.

I was able to start a company during my time here, giving me experience to match with theory that I learned in the classroom.

How would you like to be remembered at ISU?

I would like to be remembered as a leader, friend, and an innovator.

I hope that people look up to me just like how I looked up to seniors when I was an underclassman.

Everyone was so friendly and not one person had the same story.

What was one thing that surprised you about ISU?

I was surprised that I would see the same people around throughout my four years.

A school of 20,000 plus students is big.

However, I'd see the same students all the time and see people I knew every day.

It really felt like a small school, even though there were so many students on campus.
