OUR SERVICES

BULLYING MANAGEMENT

Bullying happens to children every day, for reasons as diverse as the clothes they wear or the way they speak. This workshop provides children with tips and strategies on what they can do to avoid being bullied, as well as what they can do while being bullied.

CHILD ANGER MANAGEMENT

Anger is a normal emotion for children. But parents must watch out for outbursts that become out of control or even aggressive. This workshop provides parents with everyday anger management tips and techniques that will help their children deal with their anger in a positive and healthy way.

CONFLICT RESULTION

Whether at home, at school or at work, conflicts arise and when not dealt with appropriately, they can have lasting negative effects for everybody involved. This workshop provides examples of different conflict situations and analyzes the practical ways in which parents and children can resolve conflicts before it is too late.

CYBER ETIQUETTE AND INTEGRITY

Computers and modern technology are taking up a lot of our children's time. According to guardchild.com, 96% of teens use Facebook, Snapchat, chat rooms and blogs. This workshop goes over Cyber Etiquette and Integrity, so that children can learn how to use technology and not abuse it.

EDUCATIONAL ADVOCACY

Educational Advocacy helps parents provide the most appropriate educational services for their children--particularly in cases where parents and schools are in disagreement. As a Bilingual Certified Social Worker and School District Administrator with over 17 years experience in education, Ms. Evelyn Bautista-Miller knows how to bridge differences between parents and schools, in order to help all children receive the education they deserve.

EFFECTIVE PARENT-CHILD RELATIONS

The bond between a parent and a child is different from all other relationships and profoundly influences a child's development. This parent workshop goes over the various issues parents must keep in mind, in order to maintain a good relationship with their children and continue to safeguard them as they grow up and become more independent.

FAMILY INTERVENTION

A family crisis upsets the normal life of all family members and requires a change in behavior to make the family functional again. Seeking help is the first step to respond to a family crisis. Our free consultation service helps families find their own way out of the crisis and build stronger bonds among the family members.

LIFE SKILLS FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING

Parents can have mixed feelings about the moment when their children finally move out of the home. And the same is certainly true about the children themselves. This workshop provides information about the basic life skills that teens will need, when the time comes to live successfully on their own.

MANAGEMENT OF DIFFICULT BEHAVIORS

Children, just like grown-ups, can be selfish, aggressive, reclusive. No parent or teacher is to blame if children demonstrate difficult behaviors; but they are responsible to manage them. This workshop goes over Management of Difficult Behaviors, so that adults and children can reach a beneficial common ground and bridge their differences.

SELF-ESTEEM WORKSHOP

Social Media and peer pressure are just two factors that can impact a child's self-esteem and lead to lower grades and antisocial behavior. This workshop provides confidence and tools and strategies for young children and teens, so that they can develop a happy and outgoing personality.

TEENAGE SUBSTANCE ABUSE

According to Monitoring The Future's Annual Survey of 8th, 10th and 12th graders, substance abuse in 2016 was at an all-time low. Nevertheless, each child counts and must be supported. This workshop approaches intervention in practical terms, including early danger signs, cultural issues, prevention and treatment.

TRAUMA SUPPORT

A death by homicide, suicide or accident can leave lasting scars on every family member. For children in particular, even witnessing an act of violence can leave them emotionally scarred. Our free support services help adults and children overcome their traumas and regain a positive outlook on life.

We all have our strengths and resources. We just have to build upon our skills.
