This is Chris Butler from San Francisco. He was evicted from his apartment, so his landlord could list the space on Airbnb for more money.

Now, he is suing his landlord and Airbnb for unjust eviction.

This same story has happened in cities with high tourism demand across the globe.

It has gone as far as entire buildings being evicted, so the owner can list the space on Airbnb

This has caused massive rent hikes in neighborhoods that were previously mainly long-term tenants.

Airbnb promotes experiencing local culture in these cities, but the very thing it is promoting is actually damaging these cities.
