Not every funder has an application form but in every case your word count matters.
If they have designed a process that lets you give 500 words on a subject then it means they want more than a couple of glib sentences. If you think they haven’t given you enough room you are wrong. It means you are trying to fit in things they don’t need to hear in such detail.
Look at the words you are using too and be confident and specific. Don’t say you “hope to” say you “will”. Don’t say “and so on” and leave the funder to imagine – tell them what and so on would include.
