The Lander volleyball team got double-digit kills, assists or digs from seven different players on Friday night as the Bearcats defeated Augusta 3-1 in Christenberry Fieldhouse before dropping a five-set decision to Georgia College on the road Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats return to action on Tuesday afternoon for an in-state matchup against non-conference foe Converse at 4:30 p.m.

Kaitlyn Krafka earned her second Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week honor after averaging 4.54 points per set, 4.23 kills per set and 3.46 digs per set in three matches last week.

The Lander men's soccer team travels to Carson-Newman on Wednesday night for a 7:00 p.m. match. Lander was one of 773 college teams to receive the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, the organization announced last Thursday.
