Engagement Sessions

Scheduling Your Session

Engagement sessions are available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Sessions last up to 2 hours and we prefer to schedule them into sunset. That is when the light is the most flattering and has the most color. We will help to coordinate the logistics of your complimentary hair/makeup styling, locations, and overall game plan. Because we live in Florida, the summer months can pose challenges for shooting due to unpredictable storms and intense heat (no one wants to melt in photos!). That being said, we like to stick to scheduling sessions for the fall, winter, and spring seasons. It's best to schedule your session as soon as possible. Of course, we are always happy to accommodate changes if necessary and we do have a weather policy in place.

About The Session

The best way to prepare for professional wedding photographs is through your engagement session. It's the perfect way to practice being in front of the lens, see what looks best, and to spread the word about your upcoming day with gorgeous Save the Dates! This will also provide us with an opportunity to work together prior to the big day in a more laid back environment.

Location

Engagement sessions can be shot anywhere! You can choose a place of special significance to you such as where you got engaged, doing your favorite activity, or somewhere totally unique and interesting to you! Here are some of our favorite places to shoot...

In Home

Talk about home field advantage, right? This makes for a beautifully intimate session.

Morris Bridge Park

Woodsy and romantic. Perfect for a rustic, dreamy look.

Downtown Tampa

The buildings in downtown are great for a sleek, modern feel.

Bayshore

An iconic Tampa landmark that's perfect for romance.

Ybor City

For old souls looking for vintage vibes.

St. Petersburg

So many murals! They make for a fun loving, indie shoot.

Fort De Soto Park

One of our favorite spots for truly epic sunset photos!

Hair and Makeup

Future Groom - Hair should be neatly groomed. Touching up a scraggly beard goes a long way. Avoid getting a cut closer to 3 days before your session.

Future Bride - Be ready for professional hair and makeup with a clean hydrated face and day old ready to style hair. Drink plenty of water to keep the skin fleshy and glowing.

What To Wear

You should bring two outfits for your session. Your first look should be casual but still polished. Think about texture, sheen, and flattering shapes for your formal look. Bring along some props or champagne if you like and don't forget to get a professional manicure beforehand! Remember, these looks should be a reflection of your personalities. You should feel comfortable and confident!

PETS

Include your fur babies during your session. Arrange for a friend or family member to be the designated wrangler OR you can hire the fabulous ladies of www.FairyTailPet.com. We love pets on the wedding day too!

Don't forget! This session is all about telling the story of your love and commitment to one another. Let your personalities shine and have fun with it!
