MEET OUR MENTOR:
I was born in Canberra, the capital of Australia. My parents were both journalists so I grew up around influential figures and was always interested in the industry. Over the course of my childhood my Mum & Dad worked for a wide range of outlets in tv, radio and print media (my dad even wrote the sports column for Playboy Australia!) and by the time I’d finished school I’d decided that I want to make documentaries for a living. I got a degree in Philosophy & Anthropology and a Masters in Media, but then couldn’t find work I wanted so moved to America to try my luck.
I got a job at TMZ as an entertainment reporter, interviewing the world’s biggest names and then talking about it all on our daily show. Working in such a fast paced company has been an amazining experience and has developed my understanding of news media.
