JUNE 15-28, 2020

"CLIMB FOR CHANGE" is a once-in-a-life adventure that begins with experiencing the heart of Young Life Africa, serving together as Work Crew for over 400 kids at Camp in Arusha, Tanzania. We then make an epic journey to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, "the rooftop of Africa", using the Machame Route. Kilimanjaro stands at 19,340 ft. - the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Previous climbing experience is not a requirement - the climb is not technical and preparation information will be provided.

How it works:

Climbers ask people in their lives to join together to raise funds for Young Life Africa. From direct personal asks to social media campaigns, filling up milk jugs with loose change or having a yard sale - the possibilities are endless - be creative and have fun! A personal fundraising link will be provided with lots of help along the way. You pay for your Climbing expenses and raise awareness by inviting others to support your mission to love and serve kids in Africa.

Financial grants to cover the cost of the Climb are available to individuals who commit to raising funds. The number of grants is limited and some partial grants are available. If you are interested in a grant, please contact Tom Ramey at tomramey@vu-ryte.com.
