Diabolical jana deleon

Jana Deleon

New York Times best selling author Jana DeLeon was raised in southwest Louisiana among the bayous and gators. Her hometown is Carlyss, but you probably won't find it on a map. Her family owned a camp just off the Gulf of Mexico that you could only get there by boat. Growing up, Jana read many books, and had a designated reading spot on her families rope hammock which had stretched out over the water. Jana had spent many hours reading countless books on her rope hammock as a kid.

Diabolical, was Published August 8th 2016 by Jana DeLeon. This book is the third book in the Shaye archer book series so in order to understand the plot you would need to read sinister, and malevolent first. Throughout the other books we were slowly discovering what had happened to Shaye that one night in the alley, but throughout the third book she slowly begins to recollect about what had happened to her. Jana DeLeon continues with her theme of criminal acts and investigation, which helps tie all three of the books together for a solid plot and story.

Shaye Archer, the main character in the book series, was found by police in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Ruffly 9 years later she was a licensed private investigator. Shaye had only on goal in mind, to get answers for her clients when there aren’t supposed to be any. Some people think that Shaye wanted this job so she could find out answers for herself, others think its just because she could connect and understand her clients better due to her history.

During the third book of the Shaye Archer series, Diabolical, revolves around the main character of the whole series and trying to figure out her life. As I had already stated, at just 15 years old Shaye Archer was discovered in an alley, beaten and abused, with no recollection of what had happened to her and what had happened in her previous 15 years. But during Diabolical shes slowly starts to remember what had happened to her and and begins to put the pieces together. Throughout this process and old friend, Emma, who was featured in the first book, meets up with Shaye again and begins to help Shaye discover her secret past.

Jana DeLeon used suspense in her righting to help grab the readers attention. This was one of the many literary devices that she had used, but it was the one that was the most blatant to the reader. Jana would end a chapter with sayings such as, "Lets begin" or "I cant believe my eyes" which had made me wanna read more and not put the book down.

I would only recommend this book to a certain audience, this book is for those who don't mind suspense and don't mind reading about 5 chapters until the book begins to get interesting. The beginning of this book starts out slow but then again so does almost every other book. But if you're just looking for a good read i would highly recommend the first book, Malevolent.

The theme of this book is patience. Shaye Archer had to wait her entire life to figure out her past. Imagine growing up and living your life while the suspense of what had happened when she was just a girl. She grew up in fear, in fear of just simply not knowing. But now, with the help of Emma, she has figured out bits and pieces of what had happened to her back when she was 15.
