- 2D animators do stuff related to the scenes like editing the soundtrack, plotting the camera moves, produce a composited version of their work for comments from the animation director or director, and chart information on sheets.

You will need skills such as having animation and acting skills, combined with a good sense of graphic design. You will also need to have a good level of computer literacy, be self motivated, be able to take direction and willing to address constructive feedback, and be able to communicate clearly with colleagues. Lastly to be an animation you will need to be able to manage relevant aspects of production, have the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team, have respect for the procedures and requirements of a particular studio or production, and be able to deliver on schedule, working calmly and efficiently under pressure.

-It will help to have a film or illustration degree and to have training in 2D drawn animations. Different studios have different philosophies about recruiting and will hire based on the strength of your work. Personal work demonstrating talent can be a useful addition to a showreel and could help you get an Animator job without having a degree.

-Companies that employ animators include Hornet, Digital Domain, Framestore, Heavenspot and Flickerlab. Other companies include Royale, UVphactory, Bonfire, Z Animation, TEG: The Ebeling Group, Bix Pix Entertainment, DNA productions and Medialuv. Lastly the other companies that hire 2D Animators include Calabash Animation, Cyberfish Laboratories, Spontaneous, Clockwork VFX, Cuppa Coffee, Cirkus, Grasshorse Studios and many more.

-The typical job schedule for an animator that is a full time worker usually ranges between 35 to 40 hours per week. However as an animator is approaching a deadline the hours may increase.

-Average 2D animators have a salary of $64,470 a year ($30.99 an hour). An entry level 2D animator can earn $35,010 a year ($16.83 an hour). Lastly an experienced 2D Animator has an average salary of $118,890 a year ($57.16 an hour). These numbers will vary in different states.

-The job outlook for a future 2D Animator includes that the employment should increase from 64,400 to 68,300 by 2024. It also includes that by 2024 the projected employment should increase by 6%.

MacFarlane also voices in several shows and movies including Family Guy, American Dad, Ted, The Cleveland Show, Sing and many more. He is also a famous comedian and actor in the movies A Million Ways to Die in the West and The Tooth fairy.
