Planning Your Session
Are you dreading planning your session? Are you dreading making sure you look fabulous?
Surprise! Your session is going to be fun!!
It’s easy to get overwhelmed with the planning of the outfits, choosing the perfect location and keeping everyone happy long enough to at least look happy in the photos. It’s a good thing for you that all of those are my specialties!
When it comes to capturing photographs, I take the Double F approach: fun and focused. Every session is guaranteed to be a super fun experience for you, but I’m always focused on getting the best, most beautiful images. I’m kind of a perfectionist in that way.
Here are a few tips as we begin to plan your session. Remember that I’m here with you through the whole thing so be sure to relax and let things flow! We will start planning together at our first meeting called a Pre Consultation, where I will be able to answer questions you may have, as well as ask you questions to start getting to know you and your family. This is where I will find out what portraits are most important to you and what products you are thinking about, as well as where you would like them to be in your home.
-When we’re deciding on a location think about places you LOVE and have the most fun. This could be your backyard, the beach, a favorite park, in your kitchen baking cookies or at the fair! Wherever it is we’ll make sure to capture your personality and having FUN!
-When choosing outfits refer to the “What to Wear” portion of this guide and remember it’s likely you can choose right from your own closets!
-Stressed about giving the perfect smile? Don’t worry, I’ve got it covered. The best thing you can do to help make this happen is to relax and let me handle it. I pride myself on taking the time to get to know you and your personality, and have fun. During this time I’ll grab the fun candids but also help you feel confident and relaxed for those perfect shots!
- Keep the bribery at home! Most likely we won't need it and if we do, I come prepared! I'll have a special something for each of your children for after the session...if they're not cooperating that usually does the trick!
