November Newsletter 2018

I am Thankful for.......

Well, the school year is in full swing and I hope everyone is enjoying the fall foliage with friends and family! As we near our Thanksgiving holiday, I would like to share some things that I am thankful for at Schoolhouse Montessori Academy.

I am thankful for our students, who are eager to come to school each morning with a smile.

I am thankful for the dedicated teachers and staff who give many hours of their day to provide students with a prepared learning environment.

I am thankful for all parents who support the efforts of the school.

I am thankful for a beautiful school where students can learn and grow.

Thank you, for all you do to make Schoolhouse Montessori Academy the best it can be.

Thanksgiving Feast

Wednesday, November 21st will be our Thanksgiving celebration. Once again, like last year, to accommodate our families, we are going to have this celebration from 11:30 am-12:15 pm. We would love to have our parents spend time with their children at this event. Please stop by the school at that time if you can. AM half day students are welcome to stay for this celebration. There will be no curbside on that day at 11:30am. AM half day families must come to the front lobby to pick up their child. PM half day students can join us at 11:30am for the celebration. The students will be able to taste traditional Thanksgiving dishes. All students must still bring in a lunch on that day. Religious and other restrictions for students will be observed at all times. It will be a regular working day at school, besides the celebration. This will be a RSVP event.

"Thank you families!"

We are always happy to see parents in our school, participating in the events at hand, as the children are happy to share their experience and knowledge with you. The “Halloween Celebration” was well attended. We thank everyone for your generous donations, volunteering and helping us build memories with your children.

Dressing for the weather

The weather is changing and the temperatures will be dropping soon. Dressing your child appropriately for the weather is important. Students will be sent out to recess, weather permitting. It is important for the students to go out in the fresh air and exercise. As fall turns to winter, please be sure that your child has a winter coat, gloves or mittens and hat. If your child is unable to go outside for recess, he/she must have a doctor’s note. Please understand, due to ratio reasons, we cannot accommodate requests that do not have a doctor’s note attached.
