Increased Litter and Trash Pick Up Starts as Part of City's New Neighborhood & Environmental Protection Plan!

The Laguna Beach Public Works Department has increased trash pick up services in the Downtown area and along Coast Highway to three times daily as part of the City's new resident-serving Neighborhood & Environmental Protection Plan.

In addition, the City has started its use of contracted "Litter Picking Crews" who will be picking up litter and trash left behind in South Laguna, North Laguna and TOW and along Coast Highway during the evening hours of each weekend.

These enhancements are part of the City's new resident-serving "Neighborhood & Environmental Protection Plan," to mitigate visitor impacts to neighborhoods, enhance City services for residents, and add environmental protection programs.

The restaurant will offer Latin American cuisine.

Rum Social Kitchen & Cocktails

Rum Social Kitchen & Cocktails is set to open at 448 S. Coast Highway in the former Watermarc restaurant location at Peppertree Lane.

Have you seen the lawn sharks outside City Hall? These sculptures by artist Casey Parlette represent a small handful of the different sharks seen off our coastline: hammerhead, blue, thresher, and leopard. The artist wants to call attention to the important role sharks play in a healthy and biodiverse ecosystem, and that many species are in decline. Check it out: the installation will be in place for several months!
