Mary and Jeff Bell Library
The Mary and Jeff Bell Library will be open 24 hours Monday-Thursday, with extended hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday beginning Wednesday, April 26, through the end of final exams.
WALK THE LABYRINTH: The Counseling Center and College of Nursing and Health Sciences will provide a moment of mindfulness and relaxation for students ahead of exams on Tuesday, May 2, from noon to 3 p.m. on the University Center East Lawn. PAWS ON THE ISLAND: Take a study break and spend some time with a furry friend! The Mary and Jeff Bell Library and Paws Up, Inc. have partnered once again to bring therapy dogs (and new this year: kittens!) to campus on Tuesday, May 2, from noon to 3 p.m. in the University Center, Lonestar Ballroom. The event is co-sponsored by the Counseling Center, which will be on hand with fun and games to help lower stress levels as Islanders prepare for exams. Free and open to the campus community. YOGA ON THE LAWN: Research shows that practicing yoga can help relax both your body and your mind by releasing tension that accumulates in the muscles and calming the brain. Free your mind and keep the positive energy flowing through finals on Monday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the University Center East Lawn. Free and open to the campus community.
SLEEP POD: Feeling the effects of that all-nighter? Catch up on some zzz's in the university's sleep pod, located in the Island Hall gym (between the Grace and Power rooms)! A quick power nap can make you more alert, increase mental performance, and improve your memory - all important things to consider during final exams.
