By the context of the previous statement, Badlands means the dry, lifeless land in South Dakota.
Brownstones - When Teedie was a kid, he lived in an apartment building with brownstones, like many other rich kids on the block.
Based on the context, Brownstone is a type of sandstone with reddish-brown (Maroon) hue.
When we were traveling to Egypt, we went through a long and narrow canal, or waterway in between North and South America.
Based upon the context, Canal means narrow waterway.
People say that Theodore Roosevelt's teeth were "Ivory white" when he smiled because he took care of them.
Ivory means "A creamy white color."
According to his people, Theodore Roosevelt had a lot of openness and spreads nobility wherever he goes.
Without having to, Openness means the spread of nobility and wisdom.
He wore special glasses when he was young. they were called progressives.
Progressives are glassive with progressive lenses.
The United States has a Regiment to go to battle if needed.
A Regiment is a minute-ready war waiting for the right moment.
The man who shot Roosevelt's best friend shot him with a revolver.
A revolver is a pistol with revolving chambers enabling several shots to be fired without reloading.
I sometimes scrimp to make some money from people who desire to possess my objects at a local selling building.
Scrimp means to be thrifty or parsimonious; or economize.
Theodore's wife and mother died on the same day from the same Typhoid disease, throwing Theodore into a great depression.
A typhoid is an infectious bacterial fever with an eruption of red spots on the chest and abdomen and severe intestinal irritation.
