Thunder Express May 2018 Edition

Welcome to the May Edition of the Thunder Express. Yes - I’m as shocked as you that I still have the job of doing the Newsletter. 🤔😂

In this edition you get to meet another four of our senior players!! 👏 I actually had to bully Riley and Dan into doing the survey for me - so I’m hoping to bully a few more seniors over the next week or so - or the next newsletter will be very very thin 😔

Don’t forget for the lowly price of $10 - you can become a member of the SWQ Thunder FC Club !! But wait.............. there’s more 😉 as a financial member you can attend meetings and help have a positive impact within our Club !! But wait.............there’s more your $10 is going towards helping the Club and anyone can join !! (even my Dad, Mum and Aunt have joined 😁) But wait............. there’s more 😂 - by becoming a financial member - you are becoming a proud member of the Thunder Community!!

GO THUNDER ⚡️⚽️⚡️

U10 SAP Team

The U10 SAP boys launch themselves each week into their game with grit and determination on the field - their never give up attitude is a pleasure to watch. Although the scoreboard may not yet reflect a victory this season so far, they are little champs and their support for each other is awesome to watch.

2nd Prize – Café Voucher $20 plus a gift bag selection of jams. J. McNICOL

3rd Prize – Flowers & Boxed set of serving platters. S. LISTER

Thank you to those who sold tickets and those who bought tickets !

Volunteers – Thank you…..To those wonderful people who volunteered for a session at the Bunnings BBQ on Sat 5th – the usual faces were there of course, but it was lovely to see the SAP parents supporting the Club , attending the final session and clean up !

The BBQ was nearly cancelled because it appears that although you may be happy to volunteer, it’s hard to get people to respond on time…. Just a thought for next time we are needing help… please respond early so it minimises the stress on the organizers.

We are needing volunteers EVERY HOME GAME - if you are available for setting up or pack up , please email now. We have had a few offers fieldside, but really need your name, team and contact details so we can call and as when we need the help.

Kind regards, Mandy Adam
