Luca's PhotoVoice Portfolio

Week One

This is one of my best selfies I like the glow of the computer screen in my glasses.
I really like this photo because I captures my father next to his own painting and the lighting is ok.
This is probably my favorite photo overall because it captures the scope of the chessboard and its from a great angle.

Week 2

The first photo on the top is Gavin posing the leaves for a nice outdoorsy portrait. The first one on the bottom is a snapshot of Ismael bush camping, unknowing of my camera.

Week 3

This photo signifies the transfer from chute to ETHS since Gavin is standing in front of a Chute poster with an Evanston hoodie, and the black and white signifies old times.
This photo is Mateo realizing that he messed up and its in black and white because thats what mess-ups look like in videos. I misunderstood the assignment, but I want to have the message of gun control.

Week 4

Artist Statement

My message for my final photo is how devastating all forms of gun violence can be, especially school shootings. Our government hasn't cracked down on guns yet because they are being lobbied by rich associations like the NRA. We can't let crazy people get their hands o firearms. Kids with whole lives to live are being killed because our lawmakers want to be` reelected. Any school could be a target. That needs to change.
