COMETH THE HOUR... ...cometh the man

Today, the conditions were perfect for fast running rugby. From the whistle, this was clearly going to be fast flowing but also a very physical game with both sides committing everything at the contact point.

We dominated the first half with some wonderful running lines that resulted in a number of tries for our backs but credit to Arnold House, they never gave up.
They had some exceptionally strong runners but we were fearless...
We ran in a number of exceptional tries that came through fast hands and amazing support lines but it was clear that Orley was not prepared to have our own line breached regardless of the score difference as boys literally put their bodies in the way of some strong and skilled runners.
With ball in hand we were unstoppable...

Today I saw young men giving their all on both sides...
Rarely have I enjoyed watching U13 Rugby more and on reflection, this is simply because this team has come together and decided to live out their existence on a rugby field.
When we talk about the need to develop the whole person through their school experience, I need no more evidence to know that this is true, than was provided on Summerfield this afternoon. Well done boys, you are shaping your final year.
