Their Future is Looking Bright!

Every year La Casa de Don Pedro educates over 900 Newark children from Early Childhood Education all the way to After School Enrichment. In Newark, La Casa is the second largest provider of preschool education, behind Newark Public Schools. This past month, La Casa de Don Pedro proudly graduated preschoolers from our 3 Preschool Centers ready to move up to kindergarten in the coming fall.

La Casa’s three traditional preschool centers are operated under Newark Public Schools and are accredited by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our Pre K experience is designed to provide a welcoming bilingual learning and socializing environment where the children learn by playing and exploring their interests while being encouraged and supported by qualified staff. We take great pride in guiding Newark's youngest residents on their journey of education, and wish them a lifetime of successes in the future. The three centers are also joined by 5 Head Start and Early Head Start Centers.

As the 2018-2019 school year approaches, we look to prepare Newark kids for another year of learning. La Casa de Don Pedro has recently launched "Project Backpack" with the aim to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to 500 Newark children at our upcoming 11th Annual Festival de La Familia. We are currently accepting donations of backpacks and school supplies. Help us make this school year a memorable one! Stop by La Casa de Don Pedro's Office at 75 Park Ave Newark, NJ with donations of school supplies and/or backpacks by August 17th or contact Keishla Gonzalez-Quiles at kgonzalez@lacasanwk.org to find out how you can get involved!
