Covid-19 Shoot Protocols Northern Virginia Real Estate Photography

COVID-19 STATEMENT:

While balancing the needs of our essential services to the Real Estate Industry we need to balance our employees safety and the safety of the community as a whole. We have put together this informational presentation for our clients, employees and colleagues. We are relying on guidelines from the Virginia State Government, CDC, WHO and the Virginia State Board of Realtors to help maintain a safe working environment for us, our clients and our community

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:

  • Equipment (cameras, tripod, flashes, tablets) are wiped down with Clorox wipes between each shoot.
  • New shoe covers will be used for each shoot.
  • Hand sanitizer used before and after each shoot.
  • We request each home be on a combo lock or unlocked prior to our arrival to minimize contact with the owner or agent.
  • Each home needs to be "Open House Ready" with lights on, blinds/curtains open and adjusted, ceiling fans off and toilet seats down to minimize contact with home surfaces.
  • All listings need to be vacant of agents, owners, contractors or other service providers during the shoot.
  • Whenever possible, we request that the owner, contractors, service providers and Realtor vacate the home at least an hour prior to our arrival since the CDC has stated that The Corona Virus can travel through the air and stay suspended for a period of time. If there is a special circumstance, let's discuss ahead of time so we can safely plan accordingly.
  • We will text the Realtor upon arrival and completion of the shoot and lock the door as we leave.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION AS WE ALL WORK THROUGH THIS EVOLVING CHALLENGE TOGETHER.

PREPPING FOR PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO and 360VR TOURS

We only get a single chance to make a great first impression. Your listing will be judged by how well it is staged and presented online. To that end we ask that your home is ready for a Professional listing shoot and is 100% “Open House Ready” prior to our arrival. We request that there are no items to be moved, there is no last minute cleaning occurring and that all staging decisions have been made prior to your listing appointment.

If you have any questions on how to be photo ready please schedule your free no obligation call here: FREE STRATEGY SESSION

DAY OF YOUR SHOOT:

  • Please ensure all lights are turned on, blinds/drapes are open and adjusted and all ceiling fans are off.
  • Put away toiletries, personal belongings and kitchen items. Toilet seats should be down.
  • Put out fresh towels.
  • Make all beds and hide as many trash cans as possible.
  • For the safety of your pets and my employees, please secure all pets before we arrive. Dogs and cats can become unsettled with strangers and flash photography, Please ensure all pets are out of the house as you would for an open house.
  • Remove cars from the driveway and directly in front of the house and hide any trash cans that will be in view of exterior or interior pictures.
  • Wind or remove hoses, sprinklers, garden tools and kid’s or pet’s toys from yard.
  • Refresh your mulch with a rake and spray with water to revitalize color.
  • Stage deck or patio with seating cushions and remove grill cover if desired.

1-3 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR SHOOT:

  • Vacuum carpets and clean floors as needed.
  • Double-check all lights have working bulbs, preferably with matching bulb types (daylight temperature bulbs are preferred as warm/yellow bulbs do not photograph well).
  • Dust or wipe surfaces and put away personal items that you don’t want photographed.
  • Clear any clutter, mail, laundry or toys that need putting away. We don’t photograph standard closets, garages unless empty and decluttered and pantry’s, they make a perfect storage area for photo day.
  • Check mirrors, windows and light switches for any dirt or smudges.
  • Vacuum HVAC returns, vents and ceiling fan blades.
  • Seasonally: mow lawn and don’t forget to stage front porch and any patio/deck areas.
  • Blow off any leaves and/or shovel snow.
  • Staging recommendations: table setting with centerpiece for dining ares, add 1 cook book on kitchen counter with decorative bowl, add lemons, limes, oranges for splash of color. We recommend no more than 1 item per kitchen counter section.

If you have any questions prior to our arrival please don’t hesitate to give us a call!
