Sarah Crothers CentrE Serving Senior Citizens since 1977, sponsored by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council

Welcome to the Sarah Crothers Centre. We provide company and entertainment for people over the age of 50, with weekly meetings and regular outings to suit all.

We are delighted to have been awarded a grant of £8,750 from the Big Lottery Fund to replace the flooring in the hall. Work will begin later this year and we can't wait to see the difference it makes!

From September through to June we meet every Wednesday from 7:00pm—9:00pm in our hall at 1A Beechland Drive, Lisburn. If you are unable to make it along on your own we have a free bus service which will collect you from your house and drop you home again.

You can find us at 1A Beechland Drive, Lisburn, BT28 1HR

Each week we have a varied programme including musical evenings, armchair aerobics, dancing, make-up demonstration, flower arranging, food demonstrations and a mini fashion show. We also have guest speakers who give talks on subjects including health matters, security and living well. At Halloween, Christmas and St Patricks Day we have parties and an outing every summer.

Celebrating our 40th anniversary!

Our group was formed in April 1977 by the late Maureen McKinney and has been going for over 40 years. All senior citizens 50+ years will be made very welcome so come along on Wednesday and speak to Hazel (Chairperson), Maureen (Honorary Secretary) or Norah (Honorary Treasurer), or email if you want to find out more.

We were delighted that Eddie Moore received the Mayor's Volunteer of the Year Award in 2017
