HARVEST AVIATION NEWSLETTER Serving missionaries unto the glory of God

MARCH 2020, HARVEST AVIATION NEWSLETTER

COVID - 19

We have been monitoring the daily updates and changes going on during the Coronavirus outbreak. Although the immediate future is uncertain, we are confident that God is on His throne, and this pandemic has not caught Him off guard. God is not surprised!

We are living in unprecedented times with much uncertainty. I know many are concerned about their own families and friends. Please remember our missionaries serving in less privileged countries. Missionaries are often the ones on the front lines in situations like we face today. They selflessly jump into help care for sick patients, often without the supplies to do so correctly.

You can help by:

1. Volunteering out at our hangar to sort donated goods.

2. Become a monthly financial supporter of Harvest.

3. Sponsor a flight (We do not charge the missionaries for our services). Without the finances, we cannot fly, and the missionaries do not get the critical supplies.

4. Committing to pray:

- Pray for our missionaries partners.

- Pray for our flights, specifically for safety, and that we will get the necessary permission and permits to deliver critical hospital supplies.

- Pray for Harvest's day to day operations and that our financial needs will be met.

Eric Martin - Executive Director

MMS SUPPORT

Harvest was blessed, yet again, by MMS Aviation in Ohio. MMS is a Christian organization who sends aircraft mechanics all around the world to assist mission groups to meet the pressing needs of aircraft maintenance. They sent two experienced mechanics, Dale and Chris, to help put new bushings in both landing gear. Within one week and many hours of labor, the task was completed. We are extremely grateful for their help.

PASTORAL TRAINING

The week of February 23-26, Harvest’s Executive Director made his first trip after his car accident. It was a wonderful week of teaching. Dr. Martin explained, “I am thankful to be able to return to train pastors and church leaders in Belize. It was a blessing to teach with two members of Northside Baptist Church in Indianapolis, where I previously served as lead pastor.” Pray with us that God would continue to open doors to equip indigenous pastors and church leaders!

BAHAMAS DISASTER RELIEF

Harvest is privileged to parntner with Wing of Grace in providing disaster relief to the Bahamas. Through our many flights we are making several contacts with the different churches and ministries. We are looking forward to serving them in the future.

Jason Wilkinson

Jason Wilkinson, his wife, Liani, and two children, Michael (17) and Marissa (13) recently joined Harvest Aviation after moving from Wake Forest, NC, where he serves as a flight instructor and Director of Finance. Jason has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and earned a Masters Degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jason served as Senior Pastor of Union Chapel Baptist Church, Zebulon, NC and is also a Certified Flight Instructor, Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument, Multi-Engine Instructor and Gyroplane Flight Instructor. Liani continues to work for Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary as the Director of Assessment and Accreditation. Jason and Liani’s passion and vision for mission aviation is to train and assist missionaries in using their own aircraft in the mission field, including light-sport, experimental and non-traditional aircraft, such as gyroplanes. They are excited to broaden this type of aviation ministry here in Central Florida.
