Gator Gazette Volume 3 Issue 2

It’s the most wonderful time of the year….

Here we are, already in the month of December. I am sure you are looking forward to the holiday season and all the activities and time with family and friends. As the Assistant Principal at GES I am extremely thankful for our teachers, staff, students and families.

As we get ready to bring 2021 to a close I can’t help but reflect on the time that has passed. We continue to be faced with challenges in regards to COVID and navigating all that has changed in education. However, I continue to be inspired by the teachers, students and families of GES. When I walk the halls, visit classrooms and open car doors in the mornings, I am met with smiles, “good mornings” and joy. These are the things that I cling to day in and day out. I encourage you to do the same; especially this holiday season.

Our December character word of the month is GENEROUS. What a great word, not only for December but for all time. Did you know that when you do things for others you get just as much benefit from your act of generosity as they do? I challenge us all to be focused on developing habits of generosity this month that will hopefully carry us into 2022.

One act of generosity that we are excited to extend to you all is our Winter Wonderland on December 9th from 5:30-7:00. Our teachers and staff are so excited for an evening of fun, laughter and games. Did I mention it is FREE? I hope you all will be able to attend our Winter Wonderland.

Yes...it is the most wonderful time of the year.
