Lessons

Private Lessons are offered in flute performance, ear training, music theory, music technology, and composition. Lessons are typically 45 min in length, but special arrangements can be made to meet the needs of each student.

About the Teacher

Teaching flute since 2001, Alina Freiman is a member of the Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC), a board member of the San Diego Flute Guild, and a member of the National Flute Association. Having recently moved from New York City, Alina has performed with Camerata NY, Brooklyn Symphony, Greenwich Village Orchestra, Utopia Opera, the Doctor’s Orchestral Society of NY, and is former principal flute of the Classical Symphony of Chicago.

Alina holds a Bachelor of Music in flute performance and a Bachelor of Science in sound recording technology from the School of Music at DePaul University in Chicago. She completed a Master of Music in music technology at New York University. Her principal flute teachers were Linda Chesis, Mary Stolper, and Robert Dick. She has also performed in masterclasses for Paula Robison, Bonita Boyd, Patti Adams, Lisa Cella, and Nicolas Duchamp. Alina continues to be an active performer in chamber and orchestral settings and is a member of the San Diego Flute Guild, the National Flute Association, and the American Federation of Musicians, Local 325.
