"If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door."- Milton Berle

Please come out and support The Academy Debate Team and Model United Nations members!

This Saturday, May 11th at 10 am, the Salem Academy Debate team will be hosting their very own Ethics Debate Forum at CWEB. Members of the team were disappointed that they couldn’t return to the Wake Forest/PEA debate this year because it was held over spring break. Instead of giving up, they were motivated by the challenge to create a debate of their own. The two competing teams will consist of Model United Nations members and Debate members. The topics being discussed are De-Extinction, the reviving of extinct species, and Designer Babies, the selection and altering of your future children's DNA and genes. The judges will be Ms. Michelle Lawrence, Mr. Chris Royster, and Ms. Sharon Spencer. Transportation will be provided and light refreshments will be served.

If you need a ride, meet in the Academy reception rooms at 9:30 am. We will return to school by noon.
