It is infamous for being the only Water-type Pokemon that cannot swim along with Psyduck. You can find them in every Pokemon game. Magikarp evolve into the far more powerful Gyarados at Level 20. You can find them in Water 2 and Dragon eggs. In Pokemon GO, they are in the green 2 km eggs. It is medium-sized and has reddish scales. James from Team Rocket fell for a trick with buying Magikarp for 500 PokeDollar multiple times. Always, you battle a trainer with 6 Magikarp in every game. Shiny Magikarp are yellow, alike most shiny Water-types.
The Magikarp salesman is a con man in the anime who sells Magikarp to people that are not smart, especially James from Team Rocket. He sold Magikarp to James three times because James believed that Magikarp are reproduction machines. He also traded James' Victreebell for it's pre-evolved form, Weepinbell.
