Well...4th quarter is underway! We are enjoying every minute of our last couple of months together here at school. Although we only have April and a couple of weeks in May, our schedule is jam packed until we leave for Summer! We have field trips, testing days, 1/2 days, a book fair, and so much more. Be sure to read the following section for some important dates followed by other important information!

• April 4th and 5th- Kansas State Assessment for Reading (8:30)
• April 6th- Class visit to the book fair and Family Fun Night
• April 7th- Human Growth and Development Video
• April 12th- Symphony Field Trip with Ms. Ebberts
• April 13th- 1/2 day - Early Release @ 12:30
• April 14th- NO SCHOOL
• April 18th and 19th- Kansas State Assessment for Math (8:30)
• April 24th- Respectful Assembly @ 9:15

State Testing- Next week we will be taking our first Kansas State Assessment over reading in the morning. This will be on both Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. The kids and I have been preparing and feel very comfortable and confident heading into next week, but we could use your help! It is proven that performance will be at its height after a good nights sleep and a decent breakfast. Please help me in making sure that your child gets those two things, especially for next Tuesday and Wednesday! We also will need HEADPHONES and iPad's fully charged! Most of your kids have headphones, but if you could just double check with them that would be great. Thanks in advance for your support.

Permission Slips and Forms- There have been A LOT of permission slips and forms com ehome in that last week or two. I have gotten most of them back, but here is a refresher on what I need in case you haven't seen it yet :) There was a YELLOW form for the Human Growth and Development Video, which needs to be back by THURSDAY, APRIL 6TH. There was a BLUE field trip form that needs to be returned by FRIDAY, APRIL 7TH at the latest. There was a PURPLE chat-n-chew form that needs to be returned ASAP (only if your student wants to participate.) And last, but not least, there was a WHITE AND TAN form that needed to be corrected, signed, and returned. These are wanted back ASAP as well. Look out for one more permission slip coming home sometime this month...we will be taking one last field trip on May 17th! Homework Change- Thanks for all of the support with our new homework change. I really appreciate everyones willingness to do what's best for the kids, even if it is during our final quarter together and totally unexpected. :) I'm hoping to see some great progress in math because of this change!
