Description:

Sugar snap peas are in the beans and peas subgroup. This vegetable is healthy because they provide protein, natural sugar, fiber, and no fat.

Farm-to-table

Sugar snap peas are commonly grown in Peru, Guatemala, Columbia, Kenya, and China. They are grown in winter through the end of spring.

Preparing and cooking

Sugar snap peas should be prepared by taking out the stem and string and then pan fried in olive oil.
