"It's about the children."

October 1, 2008 was the very first day of school in our building. A year prior to that we hadn't even broken ground, and now we were moving into our beautiful newly constructed 35,000 square foot school building. We had been utilizing space in 3 area churches, one in Pataskala, Pickerington and Reynoldsburg, and between the 3 branch campuses we had 200 students ready to move into their very own school building. Between September 27 and September 30 we packed up and transported all the furniture and supplies from the churches to 10447 Refugee Road. It was an amazing time seeing God provide for us! I remember so clearly that first day standing in the lobby with tear-filled eyes as the 200 children entered for the first time. I remember seeing the shiny windows, newly waxed floors and freshly painted walls - everything was spotless. But as miraculous as it was to stand in a building built by Him and for Him, the Lord spoke so clearly to me and said, "It's not about the building - it's about the children." He daily reminds me of why we are here. Now with 487 children our purpose remains the same - to show the love of God to the children and introduce them to Jesus by providing an education with a biblical worldview.
