A Day in the Life of: Your Solar Plexus Chakra

The solar plexus chakra is yellow and is physically located at the level of the naval along the spine. It has a masculine polarity and is connected with the stomach, pancreas and circulatory system. It relates to the aspects of our life involved with Solar (soul-ar) identity, our ego and fears, self-confidence, self-worth, individual power and is the third chakra that serves to connect you with this world through your awareness of your self in it.

Today, begin your day by closing your eyes and focusing your awareness on the location of this chakra. You don't have to worry about it's color or what the qualities of this chakra are, just calmly bring your attention to this area within your body. With your awareness to this area, bring intentions of this area being continuously blessed. Then, while your attention is focused in this area, intone the note, "mi" from the musical scale. Hold and continue to silently intone this note while your attention is focused in this chakra. If your attention gets pulled away, it's alright. Just continue to bring it back to the area of this chakra as many times as necessary.

Do this attention-focusing and intoning exercise for at least 3 minutes. If you can go longer, wonderful! Then make sure to repeat this exercise often throughout your day today, but it is not necessary to put a time minimum or maximum when repeating this throughout the day. Just giving it as much attention as you are able here and there during your day will suffice. You will need to keep a journal or notebook with you during your day. Use it to describe all of the thoughts, feelings and impressions you receive every time you focus on this chakra today. Even if what you receive seems pointless or silly, write it down regardless. Enjoy the blessings you discover on your journey with this chakra today!
