LES student had the opportunity to watch Shrek, the musical and WOW! We have some talented students! Mrs. Lindsey Walton and Mrs. Misty Mosby and all of their amazing help have put together an excellent show, which they will be performing this weekend. April Students of the Month
Congratulations to Cara Wagler, Zayne Roach, Remington Graham, Grayson Flynn, Jerzie WIldman, Sophia Ausbrooks, Emberlyn Taylor, Alyn Strange, Sabrina Graham, Caseson Palo, Hiram Tedrow, Millie Farhar, Haylo Harmon, and Mr. Walton who were selected as April Students/Staff of the Month. The "Mane" Trait for April is Join the Club.
ILEARN Testing Coming Soon!
The 3rd and 4th Grade students will be taking the ILEARN state assessment in a couple of weeks. This assessment will cover English/Language Arts, Math, and Science (4th Grade only). Students will be taking the ILEARN practice tests on Wednesday, April 14th and Thursday, April 15th. Below are the dates that students will be testing.
- Tuesday, April 20th - Math
- Thursday, April 22nd - Math
- Tuesday, April 27th - ELA
- Thursday, April 29th - ELA
- Tuesday, May 4th - Science (4th Grade Only)
- Wednesday, May 5th - Science (4th Grade Only)
Summer Daycare
For the summer of 2021, we have decided to cancel our summer daycare program. This was a tough decision, however, due to state requirements of contact tracing and social distancing protocols that have to be followed, we feel this is best to keep everyone safe. We would hate for families to rely on this service and then have to shut down due to contact tracing and cases. Our hope is that we can offer this service again next summer. If you have any questions, you may contact the elementary office. Daycare plans for the fall will be decided this summer.
Martin County 4-H Fair Dates
The Martin County 4-H Fair will be held July 9th-July 13th at the fairgrounds.
LES Power Hour (FREE TUTORING)
Our tutoring service has started. Tutoring is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of each week, as long as we have teachers to supervise. We have 20 spots available each day. To give all students an opportunity to receive this service, you must call into the office beginning on Monday of each week to sign up. Tutoring is after until 4:00 PM. Call the elementary office with any questions.
