Giants at Broncos The Gazette's Paul Klee gives his report card and prediction

Offense

This needs to be Trevor Siemian’s breakout game. Check out the combined TD:INT ratio of the five QBs to face the Giants: 10:1. Three of those QBs are younger than Siemian. The Giants also suspended a starting cornerback. Tee it high, let it fly.

Advantage: Broncos

Defense

Leave to it to Aqib Talib to be the voice of reason on national anthem protests: “I stand anyway. I don’t feel like taking a knee and all that. That’s not really solving the problem in my eyes.” Well said, 'Lib. Now go pitch a shutout against a decimated offense.

Advantage: Broncos

Special teams

New York’s kicker? No clue. New York’s punter? Got me. New York’s returner man? Better ask a Manhattan transplant. All I know is nothing so far — aside from punt returner Isaiah McKenzie — inspires confidence in Denver’s special teams.

Advantage: Giants

Coaching

During a conference call with Colorado media, Giants coach Ben McAdoo was asked how Eli is handling the losing streak. “Which Eli?” Come on, coach. Don’t make this tougher situation on yourself that it has to be. It's Manning, not Apple.

Advantage: Broncos

Intangibles

One of the most surreal visuals in recent years was seeing the Broncos as 26.5-point favorites in 2013. (The Jags covered, 35-19). The surreal part came when the 5-0 Broncos were booed into halftime — with a lead. Yes, Mile High knows the spread.

Advantage: Broncos

Klee’s prediction

Denver is a 12-point favorite. Broncos 23, Giants 13

(Overall record: 3-1, ATS record: 3-1)
