IRVINE, Calif. - Central Methodist (Mo.) took home its first national title in school history after defeating Missouri Valley 4-3 on penalty kicks in the 2018 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship on Saturday night at OC Great Park Soccer Stadium.

  • Rodrigo Paredes, the tournament's most valuable player, finished with two goals and one assist and was a force in the midfield for Central Methodist.
  • Despite the loss, Missouri Valley landed three players on the All-Tournament Team, including Gianmarco Donnini, who scored his second goal in as many games in the final.
  • Central Methodist goalkeeper Vince Gelei stopped two penalty kicks to ensure the win for his Eagles team.
