Lily's Story Information around my life

I don't know who I am

...although I have a name. I also have an identity, an appearance, a personality, and a history. However, I'm unable to truly identify with these things. Logically, they are no more than tools that belong to me, given to me naturally through genetics and experiences.

This is the only thing I can say, to be honest. Superficially, I am a 15 year old girl who likes being alone and creating things, usually through a form of art. I'm keen on philosophy, though more broadly I get into a variety of things in short-termed passion until my interest loses its edge and I find something else. I spend a lot of time on the internet, but I get very burnt out if I don't take a break from time to time.

I'm not a material person, and I spend most of my time researching and reading blogs when I'm not talking to a friend who is an Atlantic ocean away. I like to imagine that in the future I'm living in a simple life with a small mortgage and a quiet place beside a lake.

Movies, Music and Books

Movies: I like the TV show Stranger Things, and the movie "The Space Between Us". My favorite documentary is "Living With Wolves".

Music: Vaguely eclectic. I wasn't into music until grade 8. Usually I listen to ambient and electronic music. I don't like non-melodic songs such as rap and trap. Favorite artists: Crywolf, Chasing dreams/Need a Name, Waterflame, Lockyn, WRLD, Jan Amit, Tom Day. Some of my favorite songs/tracks:

My favorite non-fiction book is "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield and my favorite fiction book is "Shaman" by Kim Stanley Robinson and "To kill a Mocking Bird" by Harper Lee.

Producing Electronic Music

I like to create music electronically using a software called FL Studio. I haven't made anything recently because my computer is broken and the work of school. I have been producing since grade 8. I also have a channel where I collaborate with an internet friend on tracks we release. One of them became really popular and received 44k views.

Going on Walks

Usually I like to go for walks in order to clear my mind. Sometimes, my walks enter a phase where my senses are highly attuned and colours around me become sharper. Some pictures I took while walking:

Writing

Occasionally I like writing short stories. I have won a place in Polar Expressions book of short stories, "Northern Horizons", in grade 7. I have won a place in Young Voices short story magazine in grade 9.
