St Dominic

St. Dominic studied theology and arts, and became a canon.

St. Dominic thought there was a need for the church to combat with heresy.

St Dominic was successful with ordinary people but not with leaders.

Leo IX

When he became pope he took the name Leo IX.

He traveled to Rome and Italy, here he gained the consent of masses.

He transformed the Roman Papacy into a worldwide power.

Saint Francis of Assisi

Before St Francis of Assisi died he was said to have received Stigmata.

St Francis of Assisi spent the last few years of his life mostly blind, due to an illness.

St Francis of Assisi was able to see visions from god for some years of his life.
